Biography 

Dr. Duncan McArthur's work is focused on the use of computational and statistical methods to address questions in genomics. Currently he is collaborating with researchers examining host biological factors associated with the risk of HIV-1 infection. They are applying techniques such as permutation tests and the random forest machine learning approach to genomic (e.g. SNP) data collected from individuals with well-documented exposure to HIV-1, some of whom remain sero-negative.
