Biography 

Dr. Susan M. Graham, MD MPH PhD, is a Professor in Global Health and Medicine and an Adjunct Professor in Epidemiology. Dr. Graham is also the Director of the University of Washington Behavioral Research Center for HIV (BIRCH).

Dr. Graham trained as a clinical epidemiologist and conducts clinical and sociobehavioral research on HIV prevention and care in the United States and in Kenya. She is also a board-certified infectious diseases physician who sees patients at the Harborview Medical Center and the UW Madison Clinic Satellite in Olympia.

Dr. Graham earned her bachelor’s degree from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and her MD from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. She holds an MPH in Health Services from Boston University and a PhD in clinical epidemiology from the University of Toronto. Dr. Graham was an intern and resident in internal medicine at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston and completed her fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington in Seattle.
