Biography 

Tesia (pronounced Tay-Zha, she/her) is a Program Coordinator within the Department of Global Health (DGH). She provides day-to-day support to International AIDS Research and Training Program (IARTP)-Fogarty trainees and coordinates operations of the IARTP and other Fogarty training programs. Tesia also supports the Kenya Research and Training Center (KRTC) and the Clinical Education Partnership Initiative (CEPI) in Naivasha, Kenya. Prior to joining DGH, Tesia managed the Economic Inequity & Health program and advocacy task force at Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility. In previous roles, Tesia has worked in health policy research contributing to federally funded projects on the social determinants of health, community-based health services, and issues of inequity in long-term care. She holds a Master's in Health Policy & Equity from York University, and a BA in Anthropology and International Development Studies from McGill University.
