Gestational diabetes, hypertension and metabolic syndrome after delivery

This was a 5-year training and research grant supported by NIH Fogarty International Center. It is a prospective cohort study to estimate the burden and characteristics of metabolic syndrome in Kenya, following HDP, and GDM. Women with HDP and GDM were recruited and are on follow-up for 3 years for lipid profile, cytokine, and BP check yearly.
