InterAction Nepal

InterAction Nepal is an immersive, interdisciplinary study abroad program. The program challenges students to delve into contemporary debates surrounding development in Nepal and respond to them through participatory design, project implementation and impact assessment. Students in the InterAction Nepal program work with local students to explore the social and environmental dynamics of rapid urbanization in the Kathmandu Valley and to undertake a design intervention in collaboration with an underserved urban community. The program places emphasis on the critical consideration of distributed infrastructure and public spaces with positive impacts on human and environmental health.
