Subclinical cardiac dysfunction after delivery

This was a 2-year training and research grant supported by NIH Fogarty International Center It is a cross-sectional study to estimate the burden and characteristics of cardiac dysfunction in Kenya, following HDP. Women with HDP were recruited after delivery and during follow-up for 3 years in the metabolic syndrome after delivery. Echoes were performed to assess subclinical cardiac dysfunction using speckle tracking echocardiography.
