2025 Annual MPH Practicum Symposium

The MPH Practicum Symposium is an essential part of the MPH candidate experience as it enables our students to take what they’ve learned in the classroom and apply it to the real world of public health. This year, 26 DGH MPH students showcased their innovative, community-driven projects at the 27th Annual MPH Practicum Symposium. Working with various local and global organizations, our students helped address some of the most pressing public health challenges of our time, and made lasting connections with public health agencies across the globe.

DGH Year in Review - 2024

In 2024 Department of Global Health (DGH) students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community partners collaborated with the goal of improving health for all. Through community-centered research, our faculty and students investigated the causes of HIV/STI prevention, examined the resilience of healthcare systems, and highlighted the importance of rural health equity. 2024 was also a year of recognition as we thanked Dr. Carey Farquhar for her two years of service as interim chair, and welcomed Heidi van Rooyen as department chair.
