University of Washington alum and music producer Ryan Lewis revealed last week that he and his mother have started a campaign to raise money to construct medical centers around the world. His mother, Julie Lewis, has been living with HIV for 30 years, something they stated publically for the first time as part of their effort to reduce stigma and raise support for 30/30, their new project. One week into their campaign, they had already raised $76,010 of their $100,000 goal. Ryan Lewis is known for his Grammy-award winning collaborations with hip hop artist and Seattle-resident, Macklemore.
