The Department of Global Health (DGH) at the University of Washington, which bridges the Schools of Medicine (SOM) and Public Health (SPH), is recruiting new faculty members to join our faculty as assistant teaching professors.
The Department of Global Health values and honors excellence in teaching, mentoring, and service in order to achieve our mission: To improve health for all through research, education, training, and service; to understand and address the causes of disease and health inequities at multiple levels; and to collaborate with partners to develop and sustain locally-led, quality health systems, programs and policies.

We are particularly interested in continuing to expand faculty expertise, skills, and experience in the following areas:
- Provide innovative and effective instruction for undergraduate and graduate students in foundational global health and public health courses
- Support DGH mission and SPH and SOM teaching priorities of advancing health equity
- Increase DGH instructional capacity and curriculum quality.
- Provide mentorship
- Contribute to the department’s mission, community, and culture
